The Firm

History

Mr John Eaves who was admitted as a solicitor in 1950, commenced in practice as a solicitor on his own account in Pembrokeshire in 1959 with an office in Haverfordwest.

Following this he worked for the legal department of Pembrokeshire County Council and later Dyfed County Council.

John set up Eaves Solicitors with his wife Sylvia Eaves in 1984, this time in Milford Haven.

In 1998 the practice was taken over by the present partners Simon and Sarah Griffiths, where John Eaves remained as a consultant until his retirement.


Simon Griffiths LLB Hons, solicitor
Partner

Simon heads the firm’s Property and Business practise and has 20 years post qualification experience in both contentious and non-contentious commercial and property work.

He acts for individuals and local businesses including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. His special interest is in working for property developers where his advice goes beyond the expected legal parameters.

Born in Pembrokeshire, Simon was educated at Warwick University and Guildford College of Law. After qualifying as a solicitor he worked in London for a number of years, in particular at the London office Trowers and Hamlins before returning to Pembrokeshire in 1998 to become a partner at Eaves.

Sarah Griffiths BA Hons, solicitor
Partner

Sarah has run the Private Client practise of the firm for over 10 years and is also the risk management and client care partner.

Sarah was educated at Durham University and Chester College of Law, and was a trainee and assistant solicitor at the London office of the international firm of Trowers and Hamlins before moving to Pembrokeshire to become a partner at Eaves in 1998.

Katy Davies BSc Hons
Conveyancing Executive

Katy has over 6 years experience in residential and commercial conveyancing and she also runs our Home Information Pack team.

Born in Pembrokeshire Katy was educated at Pembrokeshire College and graduated from the University of Aberystwyth in 2002. She holds a diploma in Land Registration Law and Practise and a Graduate Diploma in Law from Chester College of Law.
